Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Andaman and Nicobar Islands are famous for their white-sand beaches and palm lined shorelines along with one of the greatest underwater biodiversity housing corals and sea dwellers. This makes it an all around tourist attraction.
It is located in the Indian Ocean, in the southern reaches of the Bay of Bengal, nearer to Indonesia and Thailand
Port Blair in South Andaman Island is the capital city of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands,It is famous for the historic Cellular Jail and other small islands like Corbyn’s Cove, Wandoor, Ross Island, Viper Island and so forth, which were once home to British colonists. Port Blair has been selected as one of the cities to be developed as a smart city under the Smart Cities Mission.
These Islands are home to several indigenous tribal communities, including the Great Andamanese, Onge, Jarawa, Sentinelese, Nicobarese, and Shompen. These tribes have maintained their unique cultural identities and traditions, often living in relative isolation. Many of these tribes are classified as Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).
Two very popular Island that are open to stay , Visit and Indulge in activities and experiences are Swaraj and Shaheed Dweep islands.
Havelock Island , Officially Known as Swaraj Dweep
Swaraj Dweep is one of the largest islands to the east of Great Andaman within the Andaman .
It’s known for its dive sites and beaches, like Elephant Beach, with its coral reefs. Crescent-shaped Radhanagar Beach noted as Aisa’s best Beach is a popular spot for watching the sunset. On the island’s east side, rocky sections mark long, tree-lined Vijaynagar Beach. The island’s forested interior is home to birdlife such as white-headed mynas and woodpeckers
Neil Island, officially known as Shaheed Dweep (transl. Martyr’s Island)
It is a tiny but beautiful island located 37 km. to the south of the Andaman Islands. With unexplored coral reefs, brilliant bio-diversity, white sandy beaches and tropical forest and vegetation, it is one of the hot tourist spots in the Andamans.
It comprises many stunning spots like Bharatpur Beach which has coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. Laxmanpur Beach is known for its sunset views. Howrah Bridge is a natural rock formation accessible at low tide. Near the island’s wharf is Neil Kendra village, with a curving, sandy bay dotted with boats. Off the southeast coast, the tiny Sir Hugh Rose Island is a sanctuary for turtles.
