Kerala- Swagatam to God’s Own Country

Kerala- Swagatam to God’s Own Country

One of the fantastic Tropical Climate Region of My Motherland.
The Minute you say Kerala, I hear, chai kada, banana chips, halwa, delicious payasam, Sadya meal, The Tranquil backwaters, Fort Kochi, Jew Street, Coir & handicraft shopping, wilderness, Kathakali, Spices, Appam & Stew, Malabar Parotta, the Lush green Tea Estates the list seems to go on…

Kerala Welcomed me way back in early 2000 as a Top Seller for the Destination, then I was invited to attend the KTM- Kerala Travel Mart, next as a Product performer, Then taking family, Solo tour, Ayurveda treatment, then Invite from Splash Wayanad Monsoon Carnival, repeat family holidays, School Reunion arranged by me and now it is a ritual to be here every year. I am so grateful to the Industry for getting friends for life from here.

The State may be compared to a Sadya meal (celebrative and festive full vegetarian meal with minimum 26 items served on a Banana Leaf) Just as a lack of any item in the Banana Leaf doesn’t completes the meal, so is missing out any place here wouldn’t complete your Kerala Tour.

Be it from the Northen most Rain forest regions starting from Kasargod to Wayanad, Touching down to Poovar island, Estuary and the pristine beach of Kovalam in South , The Mighty Wester Ghats in the Eastern side and The Arabian Sea to its western coastline, holding within it the Lush green tea estates, rubber plantation, Backwaters and Forests; The entire State is a World in itself , And then it is so evolving , reforming, progressive and developing and making it a Tourist Friendly State- Remember we are talking about the Most Literate state of India.

With its Rich culture, Natural diversity, Cuisines, Lush green landscapes, Magical Backwaters, Misty Hills and Amazing Wilderness and much more… keeps the State on every Tourist’s Bucket List everyone wants to visit, at least once in their lifetime.

At Gaia Trips, we would want our Guest to enjoy a complete experience which the Soil and the Sky here has to offer. One visit may not be enough, as every Landscape here invites you to extend your Stay and leaves you wanting for more as there is so much the state has in store.

Monsoons look most beautiful to me here. And when it rains in Kerala, it doesn’t just rains it looks like a Symphony of Green Hues, swaying Palm trees, Lush green landscapes, Gushing waters from canals, Paddy fields, Due drops in the Tea Estates of Munnar , Dancing waves on the backwaters is a breathtaking sight as the rain nourishes every inch of the land and then you are in Land of Ayurved itself, the Best time ever for any Ayurvedic treatment is the Monsoons to retain the benefits of massage and therapy in your body and enjoy the best of “Swasthya”.

Summers are great uphill in the Hill Station of Munnar, Wayanad, Ponmudi, Vagamon etc and to be on a Tiger trail in the Wilderness- explore Periyar , Gavi, Silent Valley and much more.

Winters in Kerala attracts tourists from World over as being Tropical it retains its warmth even then.
For us at Gaia Trips it’s not about how many days a guest would want to stay here, it is about how can we make the Guest connects with the land , it’s landforms, It’s beauty in the Natural phenomena and make him take a slice of goodness from this land.

So “ Poyittu Varaam” (In Malayalam Language spoken in Kerala- Leaving Now to come again), and as we say in Sanatan Sanskruti (Eternal Culture) Atithi Devo Bhava- Guest is Equivalent to God.

Keep Koming as Kerala Kalling
